Since I celebrated my poliversary recently, I thought I'd put a training montage together to celebrate all of the hard work that went into my routine. Here's to growing up!
Here's a photo my coach Rebeca took of me a few minutes before I went onstage! I was so nervous, I kept applying grip aid all over myself as an anxiety crutch. It ended up having the opposite effect by making me way too slippery. With the stage pole being 50% faster than the studio pole I trained with, it was terrifying.
Don't do what I did! Apply the regular amount of grip that you normally train with and perhaps chew gum to alleviate the nerves. My mom told me chewing gum signals to the body that it can't truly be in any real danger if it's currently eating. Might be worth a shot!

We waited about 5 hours for the results to finally be posted! We practically ran over to the results and tripped over each other trying to find my name.
One of the judges took a video of part of my performance and posted it on their Instagram, which I discovered later. So cool to see it from their perspective!
My amazing coach Rebeca and the owner of the studio I train at, Ai, drove for 4 hours just to watch me perform. I appreciate you guys so much! <3
And that's a wrap! See you in my next performance!
